Position: Project Manager - SAS Programming
Job Description
This is a great opportunity for SAS programmers who want to move to the
next level. This involves day to day management of a team of SAS Programmers.
Right candidate must ideally have 3-5 years Senior SAS programmer experience.
The Project Manager is responsible for the coordination and management of all
SAS team members for their designated global projects. To achieve these goals,
the PM will implement and manage the necessary training, tracking and quality
systems within the department.
Role and Responsibilities
1. To develop and validate programs as required for the preparation of
patient data listings, graphical output, creation of derived data sets,
and statistical analysis of project data.
2. To perform QC of programs developed by other programming staff.
3. Responsible for generation of Tables & Listings and Analysis Datasets.
4. Involved in Quality Check of all Programs.
5. Developing the reports Using Datastep programming and Macros.
6. Author and review departmental SOP’s
7. Validation of all Programs.
8. Creation of global macros.
9. Creation of Standard Output Working Procedure (Study Specific).
10. Creation of Analysis Specifications to derive Analysis Datasets.
11. Review annotating the TFL’s.
12. To prepare and review programming plans
13. To carry out electronic data transfer (both incoming and outgoing).
14. Keeping up-to-date with new developments in programming techniques,
which may be applied to data management, statistical analysis, and reporting.
15. To implement defined quality control procedures and to work according
to applicable SOPs.
16. To liaise with other team members
17. Dynamic Data Exchange feature of SAS for importing external files
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor or higher graduate degree in a science/engineering
Experience of leading a team of SAS programmers
Ability to lead and motivate remote teams.
Excellent organisation skills.
Excellent judgement and decision making skills.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and problem solving abilities.
